I've decided that tomorrow I'm going to take myself on a date. I'm seeing "Mrs. Henderson Presents" at the Angelika theatre on W. Houston , but before the movie I want to have lunch with myself.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a good place to eat alone where I won't stand out as the only solo diner, around the soho/noho/e.village area?

I dont live in nyc so no suggestions however i have a Q. Why dont you want people to see you eating by yourself?

I would suggest not be scared about people knowing who you are and writing as yourself.

i don't care if people see me eating by myself, I do it all the time. It's just that tomorrow I want to try someplace different than my usuals and some places in NYC are too pretentious to seat someone who is alone and only looking for a quick lunch.
